The Nancy Greene Ski League (NG) is designed to introduce kids aged 4 to 10 to the world of ski racing. The league was inaugurated as a national program shortly after the success of Nancy Greene Raine at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics Game. The main goals of our NG programs are to have fun, learn the fundamental skills of ski racing, and to learn the rewards of competing. The racers participate in club, regional and provincial events, where they can apply the skills learned in training. NG races are designed to foster the development of the young athletes by providing an environment where camaraderie and fair play are emphasized. The emphasis is on personal progress and reaching each athlete’s personal best.
We will be offering 4 options for the NG programs this winter. All NG programs will run from November to March, specific dates yet to be determined. The programs represent basic training packages at Snow Valley onto which additional training camps (local, mountains and summer) can be added to suit the ability, budget and level of commitment of the racers and their families.

Dream Team

Aspiring racers born in 2004 or 2005 are invited to join the Dream Team. This program will be offered Saturday mornings from 9 to 12.

Dream Team Plus

The Dream Team Plus is designed for the racers born in 2004 who participated in the Dream Team last season and who are looking for some extra skiing time this season. This program will be offered on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12 and Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:30.

NG Flex Program

This program is offered to racers born in 1999 to 2003 who are looking for a lighter training schedule. It consists of 4.5 hours of training per week, on Tuesday OR Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 as well as Saturday mornings from 9 to 12.

NG Regular Program

This program is for racers born in 1999 to 2003.It consists of 6 hours of training per week, on Tuesday AND Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 as well as Saturday mornings from 9 to 12.

Tess started with Snow Valley Racing when was 6, going through the programs from Nancy Greene to Junior and becoming a coach working with our Nancy Greene athletes.  Tess left the club to pursue her commercial pilot's license and has now returned to us.  During her time off snow, Tess is a flight instructor and is in the air whenever possible.  With over 12 years of time and effort at Snow Valley, Tess is an excellent asset and perfect fit as the Nancy Greene Head Coach.

• Certified racing helmets are mandatory at all times.
• Racers in all programs must have basic skiing skills.
• All racers must be Snow Valley Ski Club pass holders.
• There are minimal fundraising requirements in addition to membership fees in which all families are expected to participate.
